This personal injury glossary provides explanations in plain English of a number of technical terms you may encounter in the process of pursuing a personal injury claim.

Remuneration - Compensation. A reward, usually financial in nature.

RTA - Road traffic accident.

RTA claims process - Process for dealing with road traffic accidents that occurred after 31 April 2010 and have a value of between £1,000 and £10,000. The process uses an online system for the claimant and defendant parties to negotiate settlement with set deadlines, allowing quicker transfer of documents and information and lowering legal costs.
