Client testimonials
"Stephensons managed the probate process for my late father and now sadly, for my late mother. I was the sole Executor. This time my legal support was led by Rachelle Nuttall in their Probate Dept. As my mother's was the second death and IHT was due, it was far more complex than my father's and demanded a great deal of expertise in both legal and tax matters. It was a relatively high value and complex estate.
I cannot praise Rachelle and her team enough; her work was first class. Her refreshing attitude and general brilliance throughout the whole process was a godsend. Never a pleasant process, she made a very complex and confusing final probate workflow much more navigable and bearable for me. Meanwhile she was always fair, courteous, diligent, knowledgable and scrupulous. She navigated the tricky brief of 'cautious tax minimisation' with aplomb. It is rare to find a solicitor who is also an expert in complex tax matters and Rachelle certainly was. She was also very patient and understanding with me throughout this sad and onerous period of responsibility.
I could not have done it without her and I could not have found anyone more skilled to support me. I count myself very fortunate. In this light, her fees which by normal standards were fair and reasonable, are stellar value in my opinion. Furthermore I have no doubt that Rachelle saved my family significant undue tax through expert liaison with HMRC on what are inevitably grey and complex areas.
I cannot thank Stephensons enough on behalf of myself and my family. I not only recommend Stephensons and Rachelle in particular, to anyone but would go as far as to say, you need her!" - View from a satisfied client
"Thank you so, so much Rachelle. You really don't know what an incredible relief this all is, and such a help with all aspects of the processes I'm dealing with and going through.
You have been terrific- not only with the 'news', but in the way you have communicated and dealt with this- really, hugely appreciated. You have restored my faith in human/solicitors' nature!" - View from a satisfied client

"I was diagnosed with vascular dementia and was advised to do a power of attorney, this was quite a stressful time but the staff at Stephensons made things really easy for us and went through all the implications in a way that was easy to understand. They went out of their way to find the details of a charity I wanted to donate to. I will definitely use them for any further legal matters that may occur in the future." - View from a satisfied client
