Louise Griffiths
Biography
Louise joined the firm in April 2000 having worked previously at several Manchester law firms. Louise was appointed head of the clinical negligence department in 2005 and became a Partner with the firm in 2006, going on to become Head of Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury in 2012.
Louise is recommended in the Legal 500 and is recognised as a leader in the field of clinical negligence in the 2018 edition of Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession. In the 2016 edition of Chambers and Partners Louise was recognised as a notable practitioner of clinical negligence.
Louise continues to handle a small caseload of very significant high-value clinical negligence claims in respect of birth injuries, brain injuries and wrongful birth.
Cases of note
Louise achieved a settlement in the sum of £4.46 million for a claim brought by the family of a child with cerebral palsy, after he suffered severe injuries shortly after his birth which caused his condition.
Louise settled a case for a seven figure sum in respect of a child who has severe disabilities as a result of negligent treatment afforded to his mother during pregnancy.
