Joanne Ribchester
Biography
Joanne is an apprentice solicitor in the employment law team at Stephensons. She works alongside her part time Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) studies, and she graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University witha LLB Hons in Law in 2023.
Prior to working for Stephensons Joanne worked within the recruitment industry for ten years. She joined Stephensons in 2017, initially working in the helplines team providing advice on multiple areas of law, before moving to the employment team in 2018.
Joanne works as an apprentice solicitor dealing with new enquiries into the department and providing employment law advice. She manages her own cases with supervision and supports other solicitors on their cases. Her work is varied dealing with both claimant and respondent work for a full range of employment issues including: unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing. Day to day her duties can involve conducting and assisting with settlement negotiations, issuing and responding to claims at the employment tribunal, handling tribunal directions and preparations for employment tribunal hearings up to and including instructions to counsel.
She is supervised primarily by Adam Pennington.
