Stephensons family solicitor achieves Law Society accreditation

Jack Chapman, a solicitor in the award-winning family law team at Stephensons, has achieved the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation.

The Law Society awards accreditations to legal practitioners and solicitors who meet the highest standards of technical expertise and client service in specific areas of law. The Children Law accreditation recognises a particular specialism for practitioners representing children in children law proceedings and dealing with legal issues relating to children, such as child protection matters, adoption and arrangements for children following family breakdown.

Jack’s accreditation now brings the total number of Children Law accredited solicitors at Stephensons up to eight, one of the highest numbers of any family law practice in the North West of England. Five solicitors are also Resolution accredited and three have dual accreditation with both the Law Society’s Children Panel and Resolution. In September last year, the department was recognised as a ‘Tier One’ family law practice by the Legal 500 for the third year in a row.

Victoria Gethin, Partner and head of family law at Stephensons said:

“Jack is a very talented and committed family lawyer. I am delighted that his hard work has been recognised by the Law Society. Achieving this accreditation is a landmark moment for many solicitors so I am extremely happy for Jack and look forward to watching his legal career continue to flourish.

“As a team, we now have one of the highest numbers of accredited solicitors of any practice in the region. That is an excellent indicator of the strength and depth of talent in the Stephensons’ team.”
