Staff at Stephensons Solicitors LLP on Silverwell Street in Bolton have handed over a bumper collection of Easter eggs to Bolton charity, Paws for Kids, which will benefit up to 140 families who use the charity’s Safe Haven project.
The Paws for Kids Safe Haven project helps women, children and their pets escape from a life of violence and abuse to a better and caring future. The charity provides a specialised support service to women, children and their pets who suffer domestic violence; helping all involved, physically and emotionally, both in the short and long term.
Ceri Thomas, an associate solicitor in the Family team at Stephensons, said: “Easter is a special time of year for children so when Paws for Kids asked us to help them with their Easter egg appeal, we were very happy to support them in some small way.”
Stephensons’ Family team has provided support and advice to users of the Safe Haven project throughout the year.
A mother who is supported by the charity said: “Thank you so much for the Easter eggs. Money as you know is tight and I don’t want the children to miss out. It is lovely to get a surprise and to know that people are thinking about us. My children will love them and I might sneak a bit too.”
