Leading North West law firm Stephensons Solicitors LLP has announced three new associates in the Personal Injury, Family and Senior Management teams.
The role of associate is an award of recognition by the partners of Stephensons to employees who have made a substantial contribution to the firm.
The new associates are:
Danielle O’Neill, Personal Injury solicitor in the Leigh team. Danielle started work with Stephensons in 2006 before commencing her training contract in 2008 and qualifying as a solicitor in 2011. She represents clients who have suffered injury following traumatic incidents and works tirelessly to secure the best possible settlements for them. In addition to this, she plays an important role in developing systems and providing training within the department in order to ensure that cases are run smoothly and effectively for clients.
Nicola McDaid, Child Care solicitor in the Manchester family team. Nicola began working for Stephensons in September 2006 in the Crime department at Wigan. She began her training contract in September 2008 and in 2010 she joined the Child Care Team in Manchester. Since qualifying Nicola has developed a niche area in terms of non-accidental injury childcare cases involving complex medical evidence with such cases being heard in the High Court. Nicola has experience of advising and representing parents as well as local authorities within care proceedings cases and is now taking the lead in dealing with the new pre-proceedings cases on behalf of local authorities; providing advice to professionals at the early stages to ensure cases are efficiently managed.
Lesley Davies, PA to the Board in the Leigh team. Lesley started working for Stephensons as an administration assistant in 1995. In 2000, Lesley was appointed as Ann Harrison’s PA and continued to support Ann when she was appointed chairwoman in 2008. As well as her contribution to the Board, Lesley also works as PA to partner and marketing manager, Sarah Boustouller, holding a major role in assisting the marketing team.
Ann Harrison, chairwoman of Stephensons, said “Congratulations to all of our new associates. Nicola, Danielle and Lesley has developed very rewarding careers with the firm and it is lovely to see three home grown people achieve the status of associate.”
