Staff at Stephensons Solicitors LLP on Silverwell Street in Bolton have donated a car-full of gifts to Paws for Kids Safe Haven project, just in time for Christmas.
The family team at Stephensons delivered the presents to the Bolton charity this week. They will go to children and families who rely on the Paws for Kids Safe Haven project for support, especially at this time of year when some parents struggle to afford presents and want to give their children the best possible Christmas. Other items will be sold in the Paws for Kids shop.
The Paws for Kids Safe Haven project helps women, children and their pets escape from a life of domestic abuse. The charity provides a specialised support service to women, children and their pets who suffer domestic violence; helping all involved, physically and emotionally, both in the short and long term.
Ceri Thomas, a family solicitor at Stephensons, said: “We have worked closely with the charity for a number of years and this year we wanted to make this our biggest donation to date as the charity provides a vital resource for the Bolton community.
“At Christmas, there are lots of women and children living in our local refuge that will not get to enjoy Christmas in the way we might. Our staff really dug deep to come up with a car full of Christmas gifts, that the charity can give to those who rely on them for support at this time of year.”
