Stephensons Solicitors LLP has doubled its office space and recruited 15 new staff in Hammersmith as the firm celebrates one year in the capital.
The law firm, which has offices at One Lyric Square in Hammersmith and a meeting facility at Warnford Court in the City, launched it’s services in the city in May 2013, primarily offering residential conveyancing services, as well as regulatory defence and commercial legal services.
In the last 12 months, demand for residential property services, in particular buying/selling property and negotiating lease extensions has gone ‘through the roof’, leading to a recruitment drive that has seen 15 new staff including a new solicitor, several new case managers, paralegals and legal assistants join the firm in that time frame. In addition, the firm has taken on extra office space at Lyric Square to facilitate this demand.
Tom Bridge, managing partner of the Residential Property department at Stephensons, said: “Our expansion into London has enabled us to offer a truly national service for the first time. Our conveyancing services have been so in demand due to the fact that we can offer the efficiencies of a larger law practice, an array of specialisms, backed by almost 40 years of experience in helping people to move home.
“But it’s not just people buying and selling homes that we have been assisting in Hammersmith and surrounding areas. We have also conducted a large number of lease extensions on leasehold properties as well as developing our auction services too.”
Stephensons’ Conveyancing team has also picked up a number of awards at the national LFS Conveyancing Awards due the success of the expansion as well as the range of services on offer. The team is also accredited by the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme and is a member of the Conveyancing Association.
