Judith is a Partner and head of the medical negligence and Wills & Probate departments at Stephensons.
Why did you choose a career at Stephensons?
I was very impressed with the great reputation Stephensons had and wanted to be a part of their success. I was also attracted to the firm due to the wide range of areas of law which they specialised in. At that stage, I had just completed my LPC and wasn't certain which area I wished to specialise in. Therefore it was extremely attractive to work at a law firm which could provide me with training and experience in many areas before I found my niche.
What is the best thing about your job?
I am incredibly lucky as I have 2 roles, one pursuing compensation for children who have been born with significant neurological disabilities as a result of negligence and the other role is managing a fantastic team. I really enjoy both aspects.
Dealing with deserving clients is hugely rewarding as you witness first hand the effect the compensation has upon themselves and their immediate family. You get to be invited into their family and develop a close relationship with them.
Managing my team is a wonderful job as they are enthusiastic, hardworking, ambitious and fun. It is a really friendly place to work and I, like many others, enjoy coming to work each day.
Why would you recommend a career at Stephensons?
At Stephensons we don't only just care about our clients, we are just as passionate about looking after our employees too. The firm is keen to identify and nurture potential.
Describe Stephensons in three words:
