Why did you choose a career at Stephensons?
The firm had a good reputation in the local area as both a law practice and as a place to work. I have family members who had had good experiences with the firm and knew other members of staff who work here and enjoyed working for the company. I also liked that despite the prestigious nature of the legal sector Stephensons and the people who work here are very down to earth. Many people have worked here for a very long time which also showed this is a good place to work.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best things about my job are the people I work with and the variety of work I can be involved with.
Why would you recommend a career at Stephensons?
The firm cares about the people who work here and the importance of a healthy work/life balance for them, as well as the importance of giving back to the community we operate in via our CSR initiatives. Staff at all levels are approachable and down to earth and management are open and honest with the entire workforce about any major updates or changes, including financial performance. There are also several committees that staff at all levels can get involved in outside of their day-to-day roles. These include CSR, branding and staff engagement, which are often the driving forces behind positive changes in the firm, making staff feel listened to.
