Hayley is an associate and the department manager of our interventions team.
Why did you choose a career at Stephensons?
After working at a small law firm following my graduation, I was looking for opportunities within bigger law firms whereby I could look to progress my career. A unique opportunity presented itself in order to join the interventions team on a six-month temporary contract as a paralegal, to assist with one the biggest intervention that the Solicitors Regulation Authority had conducted. Despite it only being a six-month contract, I jumped at the chance to join a respected and very reputable law firm in my local area, of whom I had heard nothing but good things about. That six-month contract started in April 2013 and the rest is, as they say, history!
What is the best thing about your job?
I am lucky to manage a very unique department, where there are only three other law firms in the country who do the work that I do. I get to work closely with the legal regulators, assisting in closing down law firms and helping clients of an intervened firm to restore some faith in the profession. It is a very varied and interesting role, and I am happy to have had the opportunity to progress within this team.
Why would you recommend a career at Stephensons?
Stephensons is a very inclusive and flexible employer. They have always offered opportunities for growth within the firm and have supported not only my own progression, but have assisted me in helping my team to progress over the years.
Describe Stephensons in three words:
