Debt recovery

In an ever changing economic climate one thing that will always have a negative effect on a business is when a client, customer or contractor fails to pay for a service. At Stephensons our experienced team provide a low cost, reliable and effective debt collection solution.

You can instruct our debt recovery team to send out a letter on your behalf warning against action by completing our online instruction form 24 hours a day. We guarantee to send a letter before action on the same day of instruction (subject to payment) providing we receive your instruction before 4pm.

Cash flow

The survival of your business depends on a healthy cash flow. If your customers do not pay, your employees can not get be paid, your suppliers may restrict credit and your landlord will still want payment of the rent. Put simply, there needs to be enough cash flowing through your business in order for it to survive from one day to the next.

Stephensons work with a network of financial specialists who deliver a range of solutions to businesses who are struggling to stabilise their finances providing them with the breathing space they need to move forward.

Invoice solutions

Invoice solutions enable businesses to sell unpaid invoices to a specialist lender to retrieve payment. Although the lender will take a fee, the overall service they provide in managing your debts will free up your time to concentrate on running your business. Invoice solutions support businesses with negotiating better terms with suppliers and become more proactive when collecting debts.

Factoring – involves the invoice finance company buying your debt and collecting it back from your customers to recoup their costs. This method will give your business a cash flow boost however your customers will be aware you have this facility in place.

Invoice discounting - this option allows money to be borrowed against any unpaid invoices prior to the debts being collected for an agreed fee. Customers will not be aware an invoice discount solution is being used and the debt owed will gradually be paid off as the business retrieves the payments.

Although invoice financing can protect your businesses from the threat of collapse due to unpaid bills it is a lending arrangement which should be carefully considered. Stephensons are well placed to facilitate your options by reviewing your current situation and introducing a lender who is right for you.
